This year everything is different.... Winter sports have shifted from alpine skiing to ski touring and snowshoeing. This year we enjoy the wonderful winter landscape in a different way. Traced hiking trails, toboggan runs and deeply snow-covered landscapes make winter sports and time out in nature possible even without ski lifts and cable cars.
These are expected to be open again from 18.01.2021.
The valley station of the largest cable car in South Tyrol is only 2.4 km away from the Schenna Resort. To get to the valley station of Merano 2000, visitors can use the large free car park at the valley station of the cable car or the free hotel shuttle, which is available for the hotel guests. After a 7-minute ride with the cable car, you reach the family ski area Merano 2000, which promises winter sports fun for all levels. In the Outdoor Kids Camp, the youngest and beginners can make their first skiing experiences. On the 3-kilometre-long natural toboggan run, the whole family can enjoy the descent through the snow-covered landscape. A further 40 kilometres of slopes with various degrees of difficulty invite both, ambitious skiers and beginners. For the adrenaline junkies, the snow park is just right, for more swing and with some jumps. Hikers, ski tourers and cross-country skiers also get their money's worth in the beautiful winter landscape. The sunny spots and around 15 different refreshment stops invite you to pause after your winter fun on the slopes, where typical dishes from the region are served. Afterwards, a glass of wine by the fireplace is waiting for the hard-working winter sports enthusiasts at the Schenna Resort.
