Events in Schenna and around Merano

A multi-faceted series of events featuring various projects to enhance and make creative use of Meran’s green spaces in the first months of the year.
Another highlight is the Merano Flower Festival (April 25 to April 27, 2025) with its flower-based installations and topiary in the town center, with entertaining work-shops for kids and adults. A flower market will offer plants and all kinds of garden accessories on the Promenade, with a diverse program of side events rounding off the four-day market.

Respected international yoga teachers will be holding seminars, gatherings and courses at the Kurhaus again. The festival’s program includes lessons, conferences, concerts
and exhibitions. A festival for experts and beginners alike.

Discover the variety of the trendy drink gin at the 3rd South Tyrolean Gin Festival “CAUSE I’M G&T” on 3 May 2025: the best South Tyrolean gin producers invite you in the historic walls and courtyard of Schenna Castle.

The festival starts on Saturday, 3 May at 4 pm. Different gins can be tasted and purchased in the historic cellars until 9 pm. A fun supporting program until midnight with shows will take place in the castle courtyard until midnight, accompanied by chilled rhythms from DJ Paolo Sginzo, food corner and cocktail bars. Whether you’re a gin connoisseur or just happy to get in on the action – you will definitely be amazed.

But that's not all: additional GIN experiences will take place all around the festival, such as a GIN hangover breakfast, GIN-flavoured menus, GIN Aperitivo Lungo and much more.

Paths to a sustainable future

From 26 to 28 May 2025, the new schenna e.motion event will be all about electric mobility and enjoyment. In addition to excursions with electric vehicles to the most beautiful places in South Tyrol, there will be a special supporting programme with an e-test and safety day in Bolzano, a tour of an e-plant, high-class enjoyment evenings and much more.

Passion, laughter, poetry, and an extraordinary cultural mix! For three days, more than 200 performances, including concerts, circus spectacles, walking acts, and clown shows, will take place. Numerous artist groups from around the world will turn the city upside down in the name of imagination. Additionally, there will be a craft market and a gastronomic stand along the spa promenade.

The Südtirol Classic in Schenna is a must for vintage car enthusiasts and lovers of authentic enjoyment. Known as the "Rally of Sympathy," it captivates participants with a perfect blend of breathtaking panoramas, warm hospitality, and exquisite cuisine. The unique alpine-Mediterranean character makes this international vintage car rally an unique experience.

The diverse routes show South Tyrol's stunning landscapes – from sun-kissed valleys with Mediterranean charm to enchanting forests and up to the majestic and mystical world of the Dolomites.

South Tyrolean traditions are interpreted in style and enriched by many new features at the Merano Grape Festival. Dating back to 1886, it is the most profoundly rooted event in Meran's social life. 

Various initiatives on Saturday and Sunday show the authentic and young face of the historic festival.

On the programme are local products at the Merano market, autumn dishes with northern and southern influences, fine wines from the Burggrafenamt and Alpine music. Concerts by South Tyrolean young music bands take place in the town center on Sunday. The customary annual parade, with the participation of bands and organisations promoting traditional costumes, will also resume this year. The start of the parade at the Vinschgau Gate is on Sunday, October 20.

Wine producers from around the world present their top creations at the Merano WineFestival, with a special spotlight on organic and biodynamic wines. Michelin-starred cuisine, 120 producers of artisan delicacies, masterclasses, and wine talks enrich this international event, celebrating indulgence in all its forms and facets.
