We aim to set a good example in the hospitality sector by implementing effective measures to reduce energy consumption, waste, and plastic use. Our commitment to environmental protection and sustainability is reflected in every aspect of your stay, from energy efficiency to the careful selection of ecological products. Here is a list of the existing measures that are already implemented daily at the Schenna Resort and will continue to be developed and expanded in the future.

Arrival and mobility at your holiday destination

• Arrival options by bus and train
• All guests receive a Südtirol Mobil Card upon arrival. With the Mobilcard, you can use all public transportation within South Tyrol, including regional and express trains to Trento, as well as the Swiss PostBus between Malles and Müstair, as often as you like.

Reduction of plastic and waste prevention

• Building biology: The furnishings are made with high-quality, durable natural materials and recyclable raw materials.
• Avoidance of single-use packaging: Single-use packaging is largely avoided at buffets and in rooms.
• Employee training: Staff are trained in proper waste separation.

Water conservation and energy efficiency

• Solar energy for hot water preparation
• Rain and well water for the irrigation of green areas
• Conscious and economical use of drinking water in all areas

Cleaning

• Use of biodegradable cleaning agents and detergents from the ecologically awarded company Hollu

Culinary

• Use of regional food products with short transport routes
• Use, as much as possible, of fruits and vegetables from South Tyrol
• Use of many herbs from our own herb garden
• All dairy products come from South Tyrolean dairies
• Own wine production with ecological cultivation methods
• Use of various meat products (Laugenrind) and fish products from the Schiefer fish farm in Passiria
